Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the Yaar Ad website collects, how it is used, and what your rights are, in accordance with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981.

Who is responsible for the data

This site is operated by the founding team of the "Yaar Ad" initiative (a project in formation; no corporate entity has been established yet). The data controller and contact address for any privacy matter: info@yaar-ad.org.il. Once the operating legal entity is established, its details will be updated on this page.

What we collect

  • Information you provide: when you fill in the contact or updates form - name, email, phone (optional), organization or role (optional), area of interest and a free-text message.
  • Submission context: alongside the form we also store the page the form was sent from, the referring site (domain only) and campaign tags (UTM) if you arrived via a shared or sponsored link - so we understand which channels bring inquiries.
  • Usage measurement: the site runs self-hosted, cookieless measurement: for each page view we store the page path, the referring domain and a one-way daily identifier derived from your IP address and browser (an irreversible salted hash that rotates daily). The IP address itself is never stored. Two external measurement systems also run: Vercel Analytics, which is aggregate and cookieless, and Google Analytics, which does set cookies in your browser - see the "Cookies" section below.
  • Inquiry management: to track the handling of your inquiry we also store a handling status, internal notes and the date of last contact.
  • Display preferences: accessibility and theme settings are stored locally in your browser only and never reach us.

Cookies

The site uses no advertising cookies and no profiling tools, and we do not sell information to advertisers. The site does run Google Analytics, which sets measurement cookies in your browser (their names begin with _ga) so it can tell whether a visit continues an earlier one. We use them only to count visitors and understand which pages are read - not to identify you personally.

You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's official opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site will keep working in full.

How the information is used

Form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry and to update you on the project, according to the consent you gave in the form. We do not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties, except essential infrastructure providers (secure data hosting, email delivery and usage measurement), who are bound by confidentiality. Usage data collected by Google Analytics is processed on Google servers, including outside Israel.

How long we keep it

Inquiry details are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and send the updates you requested, and no longer than three years from the last contact - unless you ask for earlier deletion. Non-identifying usage data is kept for up to 24 months for trend analysis.

Security

Communication with the site is encrypted (HTTPS), data is stored in a secure cloud database, and access is restricted and password-protected.

Your rights

You may request to view, correct or fully delete the information held about you at any time by emailing info@yaar-ad.org.il. You can leave the updates list at any moment - via the unsubscribe link in every email we send, or by replying "remove".

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page.
